Immigration to New Zealand (Refugee Family Support Resident Visa)

You may apply for this visa only if you are the family member of a person who was granted New Zealand residence because they were a refugee or protected person. You cannot apply this visa if you are eligible for any other kind of New Zealand resident visa. Your family member will have to register with the government of New Zealand to sponsor your residence application, and the government will select their registration from one of their Refugee Family Support Category queues.

With this visa, you can live, work and study in New Zealand, including your partner, and dependent children aged 24 and under, who are included in your sponsor's registration. You can apply for permanent residence after 2 years in New Zealand as a resident.
